They are seeking an experienced and culturally fluent Art Director to join our embedded agency team, supporting a globally renowned auction and collectibles brand. Based onsite with the client, this role partners closely with senior marketing leadership in Asia and reports into the onsite Account Director.

This position blends creative excellence with luxury brand storytelling, leading the development and execution of visually compelling campaigns for international audiences while ensuring strong resonance across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the broader Asian region.

The successful candidate will bring a sophisticated design sensibility, hands-on creative expertise, and the confidence to steer complex projects within a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

Core Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Brand Stewardship

  • Shape and drive the visual identity for regional marketing initiatives, ensuring a premium and cohesive brand presence across all channels.
  • Lead the art direction of photography, video, digital design, print, motion graphics, and experiential outputs.
  • Contribute directly to concept development and execution while setting the overall creative standard for campaigns.

Campaign Execution

  • Direct luxury-focused lifestyle and fine art shoots, maintaining consistency and excellence from concept through delivery.
  • Develop campaign assets for outdoor media, digital advertising, social platforms, and owned channels, balancing global brand alignment with regional relevance.
  • Oversee the creation of high-end printed materials, including catalogues, private view invitations, and bespoke collateral.
  • Work closely with internal specialists, stylists, photographers, designers, writers, and production teams to bring creative ideas to life.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet global brand guidelines while reflecting cultural nuance within Asian markets.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with external creative partners and suppliers to maintain exceptional production standards.

Stakeholder & Project Oversight

  • Collaborate daily with client-side marketing and creative teams to translate strategic objectives into impactful creative solutions.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are consistently achieved.
  • Operate confidently within a multi-layered stakeholder structure, managing senior feedback and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Balance creative ambition with operational practicality and financial considerations.

Market & Cultural Awareness

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of the luxury landscape, with particular sensitivity to cultural and aesthetic expectations across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Asia.
  • Integrate market trends and regional insights into creative thinking.
  • Deliver work that feels globally premium yet locally authentic.

Experience & Capabilities

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in art direction or senior design roles within luxury, fashion, fine art, or premium lifestyle sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-end photography and film productions.
  • A portfolio showcasing sophisticated print and digital campaigns.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); familiarity with motion or editing software advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage demanding timelines and senior stakeholders calmly and professionally.
  • Fluent English required; Cantonese and/or Mandarin highly desirable.
  • A refined understanding of luxury aesthetics and Asian cultural contexts.
