Accessories Designer – Sunglasses Jobs in New York, NY at Amiee Lynn Inc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce designs, concepts, CADs for accessories programs – sunglasses, soft accessories, handbags etc – for presentations, tech packs, and production
- Work with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft office – Strong Adobe Illustrator skills a MUST
- Translate trends into concepts that respond to business needs (e.g., price points, geographic considerations) for seasonal decks across multiple brands/private labels
- Ideate based upon various womens, young adult, mens, and childrens brand-specific identities and carry through the development from inception to production
- Design and execute industry-leading, highly functional styles that reflect Walmart’s design ethos and adhere to their unique calendar
- Communicate with overseas suppliers daily, manage sourcing, tracking, development, and approvals of styles
- Produce technical packages quickly, accurately, and with strong attention to detail
- Update line sheets, tech packs, and additional paperwork with consistency and attention to detail
- Assist with trend research and shopping, and prepare for sales presentations
- Familiarity with prints, graphics, recoloring, novelty embellishments, basic photo editing
- Work collaboratively with the Production Team to review lab dips, quality submits, and protos
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 yrs experience in fashion accessories design
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Design or fashion design education
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive on a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to seamlessly flex and pivot between multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy – examples include: computer sketching, setting up showrooms, organizing and hanging samples, completing paperwork, etc.
- Attention to detail regarding product lifecycle – style numbering, colors, materials, weights, fit, dimensions, factory info, pricing, packaging, technical design basics
