United States – Remote | 1099 Consultant
Job Description
Safal Partners seeks to contract a graphic designer to support federally funded project work. The Graphic Designer will work with project teams to conceptualize and design materials visually and editorially appropriate to a range of audiences. The Graphic Designer will use their skillset to create visual content for national reports and publications, fact sheets, displays, presentations, and project templates in Word and PowerPoint. This person may be asked to work collaboratively with several project teams as well as the business development team on proposal submissions. The ideal candidate for this position is creative, collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable with multi-tasking and working on tight deadlines. Candidates will be required to provide a portfolio of work.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Translate complex concepts and processes into high-quality, compelling graphics (I.e., infographics, icons, charts, etc.)
- Develop and finalize formatting for PowerPoint decks, Word templates, fact sheets, infographics, publications, etc.
- Ensure graphics consistency with a comprehensive project style guide and publication guidelines.
- Develop or revise project templates in Word and PowerPoint.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-7+ years’ experience in corporate/consulting graphic design; federal contract work strongly preferred but not required.
- Advanced knowledge and skill with all Adobe Creative Cloud products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Microsoft Word will be utilized most frequently.
- Understanding of and experience in document accessibility 508 compliance.
- High level of organization and impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas clearly.
- Flexibility to work on evolving timelines.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Ability to evaluate, revise, and remediate electronic documents to comply with Section 508 standards.
Additional Information
Job Type: 1099 Consultant
Hours: 5-15 hours per month
Contract Length: 1 year, with possible extension (Ongoing projects)
