About the brand

SLICKHAIR is a global hair styling brand redefining effortless, polished hair. Known for its cult-favourite anti-frizz and slick styling products, the brand has built a loyal international following and is stocked in over 5,000 retail doors worldwide, including major retailers such as Sephora, Priceline, Coles and Woolworths, and is soon to be in a national US retailer.

Founded in Australia, SLICKHAIR is rapidly expanding into new markets and product categories, with a focus on innovation, accessibility, and creating high-performance products for all hair types.

About the Role

As Head of Brand & Marketing, you will be responsible for bringing the SLICKHAIR brand to life globally, ensuring it shows up consistently, powerfully, and commercially across every touchpoint.

You will own the global marketing calendar, campaigns, and execution, driving how the brand connects with customers across social, eCommerce, retail, and real-world activations.

This is a hands-on, execution-led role. You will not only develop ideas but also lead them through to delivery, working closely with the Founder to ensure every campaign and initiative is aligned, elevated, and results-driven.

This is a highly commercial role. You will be accountable for ensuring brand activity directly contributes to revenue growth, customer acquisition, and global brand positioning.

You will play a key role in shaping how SLICKHAIR shows up globally during a critical phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Direction (Execution-Focused)

Work closely with the Founder to translate the brand vision into clear, actionable plans

Ensure brand positioning is consistently executed across all channels and markets

Contribute to the evolution of the brand as the business expands into new categories

Act as the guardian of brand consistency across campaigns, channels, and touchpoints

Align messaging and campaigns with overall business and commercial objectives

2. Campaigns & Marketing Execution

Own the end-to-end development of campaigns (concept → execution → performance review)

Build and manage the annual marketing calendar (EDMs, launches, retail moments, activations, promotions, partnerships)

Lead key campaign moments (e.g., product launches, Coachella, Holiday, Sephoria, retail launches etc) Oversee influencer strategy, content direction, and partnerships – working alongside our Social team.

3. Creative

Partner with our creative director/graphic designer and content team across

Social media

Paid ads

Website & eCommerce

Retail & POS

Ensure all outputs are premium, consistent, and aligned with brand vision

4. Product & NPD Collaboration

Partner with NPD to ensure new products are:

On-brand

Market-relevant

Positioned for commercial success

Lead go-to-market strategy for all new launches

Develop naming, messaging, and product storytelling

5. Retail & Global Expansion Support

Own-brand presentation across global retailers (Sephora, Priceline, Coles, Woolworths and our upcoming National US launch etc.)

Ensure consistency across:

Retail displays

Visual merchandising

Campaign rollouts

Support sell-in materials (pitch decks, brand storytelling)

6. Performance & Growth

Track and optimise brand performance across:

Sales impact

Campaign ROI

Customer acquisition

Engagement metrics

Work closely with eCommerce to improve conversion and LTV

Continuously refine messaging based on data and insights

7. Team Leadership

Lead and develop the brand, content, and creative team

Build structure and processes as the team scales

Manage agencies, freelancers, and production partners

Ideal Candidate Profile

5–10+ years in brand, marketing or creative roles (beauty or consumer brand preferred)

Proven experience scaling a brand across multiple markets

Strong balance of creative vision + commercial thinking

Experience leading campaigns, product launches, and brand strategy

Highly organised with the ability to execute at speed

Comfortable working closely with a founder in a fast-paced environment
